Subject line: I’m with Courtney. Will you join me?
Just a quick note to let you know I’m supporting Courtney Ruby for Oakland City Auditor and I really hope you will join me.
I could say a lot, but the East Bay Times said it best:
“Courtney Ruby is back. Any Oakland voter who cares about transparency and accountability in local government should be excited about her decision to seek election to her old post as the independent city auditor.”
Courtney previously served as Oakland’s City Auditor for eight years, between 2007 and 2014. She saved taxpayers millions of dollars and earned a national award for hard-hitting performance audits and investigations. She also sponsored the whistle-blower ordinance that increased reports of wrongdoing at City Hall by 600 percent.
Today, Courtney is the Director of Administration and Facilities at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, the transportation planning, financing and coordinating agency for the Bay Area’s nine counties.
But we need Courtney back as our City Auditor. Please join me by voting for her and contributing to her campaign. You can learn more and contribute at www.CourtneyRuby.com.
